To make your experience at the pools safe for you and other members, these important changes will be in effect this season due to COVID-19:

  • Everyone must bring their own chairs; CVPRA tables and chairs will not be provided. No tents allowed.

  • You will be required to sign in and sign out. Six-foot intervals will be marked on the ground for social distancing.

  • Both pools will be closed for 20 minutes everyday for cleaning/disinfecting (Nantucket from 2:45 to 3:05 pm and Wellfleet from 3:00 to 3:20 pm)

  • No guests allowed.

  • No toys/swim toys allowed.

  • Sanitizers will be provided at the gate.

  • No parties, camps, or pavilion rentals.

  1. What are the pools’ capacity for number of members at a time? Both pools will be allowed to operate at 50% capacity. We don’t expect this to be a problem based on previous years’ attendance records. Pool attendants will be keeping track of the number of members at the pools as they sign in and out. No reservations will be required and entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

  2. Will the bathrooms and showers be open? Yes.

  3. Will the bathrooms be sanitized and how often? Bathrooms will be sanitized on an ongoing basis throughout the day, and the pool will be closed from 3:00-3:20 pm everyday for a comprehensive cleaning.

  4. Will the pool deck be marked off with 6-foot distances for members to sit? No, but members should practice social distancing on the pool deck.

  5. Are masks required in the sign-in line, on the pool deck, in the pool, or in the restroom? Masks are not required, but are recommended.

  6. Will the big umbrellas be opened? Yes.

  7. Will lifeguards be wearing masks? Yes.

  8. Will the baby pools be open? Yes.

  9. Will there be a limit to the number of people in the restrooms? No

  10. Will there be prorate or a discount on membership fees? No, the Association has still been incurring costs to keep the pool open and maintained during the past few weeks.
